Hi, prince Harry. This can be handy 🙂
On Monday, the six of May, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, popularly known as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, had their first royal child. Prince harry made the announcement on the royal couple’s Instagram page, confirming that it was a boy and both the mother and the baby were doing very good.
I’m very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy early this morning, a very healthy boy. Mother and baby are doing incredibly well…
Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex
A lot of us had expected the baby to be a girl but much to our surprise, it didn’t turn out to be so. However, there’s a surge of tension in the air about what name would be given to the baby.
Like everyone else, we’re so excited about this (!!) and we can’t wait to hear the royal baby’s name. To make this a lot more interesting, we built a whole new section on our website for this purpose and we’d be glad to hurl up a whole list of name suggestions for the royal baby.
We’re confident that we can help in this aspect through our Baby Name Generator and we’re welcoming the royal couple themselves to give it a try!
To make this all more fun as well as befitting for a royal child like theirs, we’ve added a fresh theme called the Royal / Presidential Theme to our baby name generator. This theme can be used as a filter for searching out famous names of presidents or royal individuals.
We’d love to gamble on this one that a good number of the names provided by our baby name generator would stand out as distinct and proper for the royal baby of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Here are some of the names that we feel will be a proper match for the royal baby:
William
Although William is of German origin, it has not ceased to be mentioned amongst royalty as even the Duke’s brother bears this name. It is ranked as the 3rd most popular name given to a baby name and peaked popularity around 1948.
James
Also very popular, James is ranked as the 4th most popular baby boy name in 2017. There’s much reason for us to believe that this would be a good fit for the royal baby as it has a dual origin―English and Hebrew. This name also has the same meaning as Jacob.
Benjamin
Looking for another name that’s got royalty written all over it? Benjamin might pick your interest as its literal meaning reads: “son of the right hand”. On a popularity scale, the name Benjamin also stays on top as the 6th most given baby name for a boy child. It also quite trendy during the last couple of years.
Charles
Since the arrival of the royal baby, the name Charles has not seem to lose any odds of being picked by Prince Harry and the Duchess. For good reason, this name is amongst our suggestions because Prince Harry’s father bears it and it’s also a native English name.
We’re confident that the implementation of the Royal Theme to our Baby Name Generator would do a great job at providing a series of name suggestions for the newest royal baby in town. We congratulate the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and they are more than welcome to check out our baby name generator.
Update: Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have revealed the name of their first child: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Great choice Harry and Meghan, congrats!
The name Archie peaked in the year 1918, and for the last century has been declining, specifically in the early 1970s, when the show “All in the Family” was premiered, thanks to Archie Bunker 🙂
We have a wild guess we’ll see an increase with this cute baby name in the next couple of years..
